Chennai: California Software Company Limited
(Calsoft) has partnered with U-Eyes, China, to enhance
the electronic visor (sun-shield) of a car by incorporating
a flash player in the device.
This
software enables the visor in vehicles to serve a dual
role, to act as a shield from sun rays and provide entertainment.
The company plans to distribute the ''smart mobile TV''
visors to cabs plying in China.
While
passengers can watch a film or a music video, there is
room for useful information in the form of tailor-made
advertisements. The company also plans to offer incentives
to cab drivers to ensure that they turn it on the moment
a passenger steps in and the meter is turned on.
The
company has already sold the concept to Palm Springs Golf
Club in US and Sand River Golf Club in China.
S
Sam Santosh, managing director and CEO, Calsoft said,
"California Software is always looking for niche
markets and this software has enabled us to expand and
use our technology capabilities to put us on the map in
software innovation."
U-Eyes
have already tied-up with an advertising agency for the
content, as this plays a critical role. The company will
host a server for the ad agency and the content will be
updated through the CDMA network of China Unicorn, a mobile
phone career. The revenue
will be generated through the advertisement content on
the visor and would be shared between the ad agency, China
Unicorn and U-eyes.
