California Software Company Limited (Calsoft) has announced having entered in to an alliance with Malata in China, an OEM supplier of mobile phones, DVD Players, LCD monitors, set top boxes and MP3 players.

Calsoft will provide software engineering to enhance Malata product line that Calsoft says includes over 10 million electronic devices a year.

According to Wu Qi-Nan, vice president, Malata, "Calsoft's in-depth knowledge and experience with their proven history of embedded software development services, makes them the perfect partner for us to enhance our range of products. The partnership with Calsoft will prepare us to grow our mobile phone business in the Indian market."

S Sam Santosh, managing director and CEO, Calsoft Software Co Ltd., added, "The demand for embedded devices and hand-held devices to devices to support rich content, applications, and interfaces is booming and this is a great opportunity for Calsoft to enter an important and growing market like China."
