Compact Discs floats SPV to set up Dehra Dun''s knowledge park news

Compact Discs India Ltd (CDIL) has floated a special purpose vehicle (SPV), Laser Infomedia Ltd, a 100-per cent subsidiary to implement the 'multimedia knowledge park' at Dehra Dun for which it has been allotted a 12-acre plot by the Uttranchal government.

The proposed knowledge park will consists of ready to move built-up spaces, shopping plaza, apartment suites, residential apartments, multi-level parking besides a state-of-the-art animation studio and an internationally reputed educational institute. The knowledge park with a total covered area of 8,45,000sq ft will be completed within 24 months.

Jurong Consultants (India) Pvt Ltd, an affiliate of the Singapore-based JTC Corporation, has been appointed as project managers. Jurong has successfully completed projects in more than 100 cities in 27 countries including Mumbai's integrated SEZ, Mahindra Industrial Park, Chennai, IT Corridor, Bangalore, I-Labs, Hyderabad, International Tech Park, Bangalore, Pharma City, Visakhapatnam, K Raneja IT park, Pune.

CDIL says it has already received five proposals from potential investors for this project.
