Good Technology acquires key assets of JP Mobile news

Hyderabad: Good Technology, based in Santa Clara, California, and a provider of industry standards-based wireless handheld computing software and services has acquired key technology assets and engineering talents of JP Mobile, Inc, regarded among the pioneers of wireless handheld computing.

JP Mobile was founded in 1995 and has maintained operations in Dallas and Hyderabad both of which will be integrated with Good Technology's operations.

The acquisition gives Good Technology access to advanced server technologies that connect with a variety of back-ends, including IBM Lotus Notes and Domino, Novell GroupWise and IMAP.

The acquisition provides Good Technology access to key handheld data security technologies and team members with significant experience in building mobile solutions for enterprises.

"By integrating key components of JP Mobile's server and security technologies with our GoodLink server, service, and client software, we will be able to extend mobile messaging and PIM system to all the leading corporate messaging platforms, while simultaneously raising the bar for end-to-end integrated security on Windows Mobile, Symbian, and Palm OS platforms," said Danny Shader, CEO, Good Technology."
