Mumbai: Sanjay Sondhi, Pune-based business executive of Honeywell International (NYSE: HON), was presented the company's top achievement award, the Premier Achievement, By Honeywell chairman and CEO Dave Cote at a company ceremony at Times Square, in New York.

The Premier Achievement is the company's highest honour to recognise outstanding individual achievement within Honeywell. Sondhi was one of eleven employees selected among the company's more than 100,000 global workforce from locations as diverse as Romania and Japan for the 2005 Premier Achievement.

Applauding Sondhi, Cote said, "Sanjay Sondhi is an example of a Honeywell employee who is driven to deliver customer value and contribute to our company's initiatives every day. His vision, entrepreneurship and leadership has accelerated our growth in India and established a local manufacturing presence for Honeywell to meet the region's expanding automotive market."

The $26-billion diversified technology and manufacturing leader confers its Premier Achievement annually to employees for their success in attaining results toward the company's 'five initiatives'. These are growth, productivity, cash, people and, what it describes as its 'enablers' — DigitalWorks and Six Sigma.
