Helios and Matheson closes year with Rs18.57 crore profit news

Chennai: The city-based software services company Helios and Matheson Information Technology Limited has closed FY 2005 with a revenue of Rs.122.12 crore and a net profit of Rs.18.57 crore as against Rs.75.54 crore and Rs.7.96 crore posted in FY 2004. The company has Rs.31.23 crore cash or its equivalent at the year end.

It was an eventful year for the company as it announced acquisition five companies. The company got itself listed in the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and doubled its equity base to Rs10 crore by issue of 1:1 bonus. The year also saw acquisition of 14 new clients of which 4 during the last quarter.

For the first quarter the company expects to have revenues of around Rs.38 crore and a net profit of just over Rs.6 crore. Managing director G K Muralikrishna predicts a revenue of Rs.200 crore for FY2006.
