Tavant Technologies appoints executive vice president news

Bangalore: Tavant Technologies, a leading collaborative commerce software applications company, announced the appointment of CK Singla as executive vice president. Singla, who will be driving the sales and marketing initiatives, will be operating out of the company's headquarters at Santa Clara, California.

Before joining Tavant Technologies, Singla worked with Qwest in the capacity of senior vice president. At Qwest he led strategic initiatives, including the creation of CRM and B2B practices. As practice leader, he was responsible for sales, marketing, business development and product management. He helped build business opportunities of US$120million, with revenues of US$20million and gross margins of over 70 per cent in the first year of taking new solutions to market.

Prior to that, Singla was with KPMG Consulting as a partner. He was part of the Solutions Council, a cross-industry leadership group of senior partners that oversaw the development of marketable solutions. He was one of the key architects of an ASP joint venture with Qwest Communications.

He has also worked with Cap Gemini's IT consulting practice for seven years. Singla with three partners started Softine, an ERP implementation services company, growing it to over US$100million in revenues. The company had several innovations to its credit, including one of the first rapid implementation methodologies and the first ASP practice around SAP.

Singla is an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
