Sprint E|Solutions opens Internet centre in Bostonnews

Sprint, the US-based global communications company and a large carrier of Internet traffic and a leader in broadband communications has is opening a new Internet centre in Boston as part of its E|Solutions group.

The 70,000 sq. ft. Boston Internet Center will offer Sprint's customers application and web hosting support, collocation, monitor and report performance, and IT professional services. This will be the second of nine such centres Sprint plans to open by the end of this year in order to further expand its ability to meet increasing customer demand for e-business services.

According to Keith Paglusch, president, Sprint E|Solutions, the Boston centre will have the advantage of Sprint's expertise in managed and web services, security and customer service, lessening the IT worries associated with running a business in today's e-economy.

The centre will provide direct access to Sprint's high-speed, fiber-optic Tier 1 IP backbone, enabling performance with unsurpassed reliability for real-time access to mission-critical applications. Customers also will benefit from Sprint's high standards for security and managed services.

In addition, Sprint's comprehensive support provides a variety of managed-server applications and transport services, all backed by award-winning customer service.

Apart from a wide range of physical security features, the Boston centre will have a reliable physical environment to safeguard the data that is at the heart of every business. This world-class facility is custom designed with raised floors, HVAC temperature-control  systems with separate cooling zones, private locked cabinets and cages, smoke detection and fire suppression systems, in-facility security personnel and 24x7 secured access via a unique system that automatically presents identification and credentials of individuals seeking entry, as well as video surveillance and security breach alarms.
