The Sprint ESolutions'' Enterprise Mobile Practice is aimed at delivering a suite of network and device-independent services designed to meet the growing demand for mobile capabilities. According to leading research company, IDC, the mobile commerce, or m-commerce, segment is currently witnessing a surge in usage and revenue is projected to dramatically jump from $29 million in 2000 to $20.8 billion in 2004.

The consulting practice will focus on delivering e-enabled features, including productivity, portability, scalability, reliability and security to customers. The demand for mobile commerce is driving the need for a next-generation solution.

The unique nature of Sprint''s Enterprise Mobile Practice provides customers the professional services to streamline their experience by creating a way for e-business applications to be intelligently personalised and delivered to any mobile device on any wireless network.

This service makes applications easy to use and minimises the time needed for wireless Web surfing. End customers are able to purchase items with enhanced speed, transfer funds, be alerted when checks clear or participate in online auctioning - all from a wireless device.

Sprint''s national team of specialised m-commerce consultants will work with the customer to help define their needs and then design and implement the best solution to meet their goals for growth. Such end-to-end solution, the company believes, will allow customers to migrate from a wired-only environment to one that expands access to information and transactions over a wireless medium.
