PM to consider all options to deal with crude rise news

New Delhi: Expressing concern at the rise in international oil prices Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh today said that the government was considering all possible options including raising fuel prices and duty cuts to deal with the situation.

He told reporters in the capital that the rise in crude prices was a cause of concern and the government would have to consider various options open to it

The group of ministers on fuel prices headed by foreign affairs minister Pranab Mukherjee that was constituted by the prime minister, will hold its first meeting on 17 January.
