Quickjet to begin freighter services in India

Another cargo airline start-up will begin operations in the country, with Singapore-based Cardinal Aviation Partners (CAP) announcing a joint venture with AFL Logistics, a subsidiary of the Mumbai-based, logistics and supply chain management AFL Group. The start-up cargo airline will be called Quickjet.

CAP will hold the majority stake in the venture while AFL Logistics will hold a 13 per cent stake. "We have entered into an agreement with CAP and intend to launch the service by December 2008," said AFL officials.

According to sources, Quickjet will initially offer freighter services with two Boeing 757s, expanding its fleet and services according to the volumes generated.
