JAL to add premium economy class service on European routes

Japan Airlines will introduce premium economy-class service on its flights to London from December this year, and on flights to Frankfurt and Paris over the coming year.

The new cabin will offer up to forty four120-degree-recline seats at 38in pitch in a 2-4-2 configuration and will join the first-class, business and economy compartments being offered on JAL''s Boeing 777-200/300ERs. According to JAL, the seats will provide 20 per cent more legroom than those in the economy class and will be capable of accommodating a fully opened A4-size laptop.

JAL also said that it would introduce new first and business-class seats on its international flights next year.
