CII calls for measures to check Re appreciation against dollarnews

Mumbai:
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has called for
continued government support to check the rupee appreciation
against the dollar in an effort to boost exports.
According
to CII president Anand Mahindra, the rupee appreciation
has already affected exports from India in a significant
measure. "If the rupee appreciation continues,
China will
capitalise on the slowdown on India's export front.
China is waiting for precisely this kind of a situation
to take the lead."
