DLF-Hilton announce development of seven new hotel projects

New Delhi: Global hospitality group Hilton Hotels Corporation has signed an agreement to manage seven new hotels being developed by New Delhi-based real estate developer DLF.

"The execution of these seven new management agreements with Hilton is a major step in the overall DLF strategy to rapidly scale up DLF presence in the hospitality sector to 25000 hotels rooms in the next five to seven years," says Shakti Singh, managing director, DLF Hotel Holdings Ltd.

This marks the second stage in the DLF-Hilton joint venture to build and develop 75 hotels in India in the next five to seven years. The new projects named today will bring the total number of new hotels under this DLF - Hilton alliance to 16, comprising 3500 rooms. All these 16 projects are in various stages of development and construction.

Lenny Menezes, CEO of DLF Hilton Hotels Ltd, says, "The relationship between DLF and Hilton is yielding great results and we are on track to achieve our strategic goal of creating a Pan-India presence in the hospitality sector."

To be managed by an affiliate of Hilton Hotels Corporation, the seven new hotels will cover different market segments under the Hilton Family of Brands: Hilton, the upscale full service brand; Hilton Garden Inn, the mid-scale brand and the Homewood Suites by Hilton, an extended stay hotel brand.

The projects are:
Hilton Dwarka New Delhi with 300 rooms
Hilton Garden Inn New Delhi / Dwarka with 400 rooms
Homewood Suites by Hilton New Delhi / Dwarka with 100 rooms
Hilton Residences Kolkata with 100 rooms
Hilton Garden Inn Chennai / OMR with 250 rooms
Homewood Suites by Hilton Chennai / OMR with 100 rooms
Hilton Garden Inn Trivandrum with 200 rooms
