Nissan Motors appoints Phonethics

Nissan Motors has appointed Phonethics as its digital agency on record.
Phonethics is a Mumbai-based agency that creates viral films and animated characters for the digital medium and social media marketing. The agency will handle both the creatives and also the digital media work for Nissan Motors and use online and mobile marketing for the company.
Nissan recently re-launched luxury sedan (Teana) and SUV (X-Trail) in the Indian market.
The agency will focus on building the Teana and X-Trail brands in India and also generating test drive leads.
To begin with, the agency will roll out an online banner and search marketing campaign across various websites. The campaign will use content targeting consumers in the SEC A plus category and above 30 years of age.
There will be a tie up with two leading online publishers for contextual advertising. The tie ups will be used to strategically embed information about the Teana and X-Trail brands, alongside the luxury related content pieces.
The mobile campaign will start in three-four months. Mobile advertising will be used to target high end consumers, especially the users of Blackberry, iPhone or any other premium mobile handset.
Earlier, Phonethics has developed characters for advertisers such as Tata Indica (Vista brand) and Sony Entertainment Television.
