Mumbai: HDFC Standard Life Insurance Company has tied up with Union Bank of India for marketing its insurance products.

This partnership will derive the advantage of Union Banks strong presence in the western and northern regions. To begin with, Union Bank has identified 20 branches in Mumbai for retailing insurance products.

Union Banks predominance in rural and semi-urban areas would also help HDFC Stan Lifes foray into rural policy distribution in the years to come.

Union Bank officers would be trained as insurance consultants and would initially operate out of branches in Mumbai.
