Birla Sun Life to expand its presence

Hyderabad: Birla Sun Life Insurance Company (BSLIC), the insurance joint venture between the Aditya Birla group and the Canada-based Sun Life Financial, has chalked out a growth programme for the near future.

The company plans to expand to 24 centres from the current 12, BSLIC chief executive officer Nani B Javeri said.

He told press persons here that BSLIC is way ahead of its targets in terms of premium collections and will use multiple channels to market its products. He was speaking at the launch of the companys operations in Andhra Pradesh.

While the initial focus will be on direct marketing, the company will also target individual sales through insurance advisors, the Internet and corporate agents.
