Akers continues to hold the second position in the company.

The changes are likely to come into effect from 1 January 2004. In the meantime, James Walton, the present CEO of the life insurance company, is expected to assume a different position within the Allianz group in Asia.

Once the changes take effect, the number of expats heading domestic life insurance ventures will come down to two — Stuart Purdy, Aviva Life Insurance Company; Ian Watts, Tata AIG Life Insurance Company; and Yvo Metzelaar.
