Argentina President Cristinal Fernandez KirchnerPresident Cristina Fernández de Kirchner of Argentina has won a reelection polling by a historic number of votes. She will now continue to rule the Latin American nation for four more years.

With over 75 per cent of the ballots counted, Fernández de Kirchner remains the most voted candidate polling 53.27 per cent of the votes, and sources within her campaign say he tally might even go higher.

Socialist candidate Hermes Binner came in at the second spot with 17.28 per cent of the votes, which made the vote difference between two candidates the largest in Argentina's election history.

UDESO candidate Ricardo Alfonsín was third with 11.53 per cent of the votes.

Preliminary results point out that her vote count may be  even larger than during last August's primary elections. Going by the trends, her Victory Front party might even regain control of both houses of Congress.

The Victory Front party also bagged five City lawmaker seats as the PRO party held the three seats at stake, while  city mayor Mauricio Macri assured that "there was a record high of split- ballots."

No Argentine leader had been returned with such a vote share since general Juan Domingo Peron was re-elected for the third time with 62 per cent vote share in 1973.
