Paul Conway leads USIBC delegation to India news

The US-India Business Council (USIBC) has chosen Paul Conway, president of Cargill Asia, to lead a business delegation on a three-city mission to India. The delegation will explore opportunities in agriculture, real estate, retail trade and transportation. The decision was announced at the US-India business trade group co-sponsored by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in Washington.

The delegation will visit three cities - Kolkata, New Delhi and Hyderabad from 21 September to 25 September 2008 and will also promote stronger commercial ties with New Delhi.

The delegation will hold discussions with union agriculture minister Sharad Pawar and New Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit at Delhi and also meet the chief ministers of West Bengal and  Andhra Pradesh. The team has also scheduled a breakfast meeting with USIBC chairperson, Indra Nooyi, chairman and CEO of PepsiCo.

The mission delegates will look at the future prospects of India's consumer market and supply chain build-out and other possible areas in each of the three cities by meeting senior business and government leaders at the state and national levels.
