India, Bahrain to discuss increased co-operation news
16 November 2007

Mumbai: A high-level Indian delegation led by minister of state for external affairs E Ahamed would hold talks with Bahrain officials on expanding bilateral economic ties.

The meeting of the Indo-Bahrain Joint Committee for Economic and Technical Cooperation is likely to pave the way for the establishment of new joint venture projects.

The meeting would identify new areas of cooperation between the two countries, Ahamed, who arrived in Bahrain on Tuesday, told reporters.

The meeting, he said, has special significance as it is held following the landmark visit of Crown Prince Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to India in March this year, which saw the opening of the Bahrain Embassy in New Delhi.
