India, Oman to sign pact on labour, manpower and employment news
15 November 2007

Mumbai: India and Oman are expected to sign an MoU on labour and manpower when the Omani deputy prime minister Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said visits New Delhi next month.

The two countries will be signing a memorandum of understanding on labour, employment and manpower during the visit from December 12-15.

"We need to further augment mutual ties. Oman is an economy on ascendancy. So is India. Both countries are witnessing impressive growth. Business travels between Oman and India are on the rise. But we need to do more," the Times of Oman quoted Mahmoud Al Said as saying.

A number of MoUs and agreements are under serious consideration, Anil Wadhwa, Indian ambassador to Oman, said.
