India signs space cooperation agreement with Mongolianews

Chennai: India and Mongolia signed an agreement for cooperation in the area of space technology. The agreement was signed by Satyabrata Mookherjee, Minister of State for space, Government of India and Byambyn Jigjid, Minister of infrastructure, Government of Mongolia.

The agreement provides an umbrella for cooperation between India and Mongolia in the sectors of space science, technology and applications and will include activities in satellites, sounding rockets, balloons and ground facilities for space research and applications.

The agreement also covers studies related to satellite communication; satellite based remote sensing and satellite meteorology, satellite ground stations and satellite mission management, training facilities and exchange of scientists.
