Bombardier wins Rs167-crore contract for Delhi Metro signalling system

Bombardier Transportation, a division of the regional jet manufacturer, has said it has won a Rs167-crore (€30 million, $42.5 million) contract for rail signalling equipment from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.

The contract involves the design, manufacture and supply of Bombardier''s Cityflo automatic train control and signalling systems for two new sections of lines, totalling 37 km and representing more than half of the Delhi Metro phase II expansion, the company said in a statement.

Bombardier Transportation Rail Control Solutions facilities in Sweden, Thailand and India will make the components for the system, it added.
