No proposal for raising retirement age news

The department of personnel and training, ministry of personnel, public grievances and pensions today clarified that there was no proposal before the government for raising the retirement age of central government employees from 60 years to 62 years.
 
In a statement it said, "Attention of the government has been drawn to reports appearing in some sections of the media regarding raising the retirement age of central government employees from 60 to 62 years. In order to put at rest all such speculations, it is clarified that there is no such proposal before the government."
