FabCity update: Karnataka CM to get SemIndia to reconsider locationnews

Karnataka's newly sworn-in chief minister, H D Kumaraswamy has announced that he would spare no opportunities to make SemIndia reconsider its decision in favour of locating the $3-billion FabCity semiconductor project in Karnataka instead of Andhra Pradesh. (See: Hyderabad gets FabCity project)

Stating that there was no laxity on the part of the state to woo the SemIndia consortium to locate the project that would generate employment for the state. Kumarswamy said that he would SemIndia's representatives and the centre to locate the project in Karnataka.

Communications and IT minister Dayanidhi Maran had announced yesterday that SemIndia preferred locating the FabCity in Andhra Pradesh, compared to Karnataka as it had had offered better facilities like land, water, electricity, subsidies and other infrastructure facilities.
