Chennai:
The Singapore-based e-learning services company, SkyQuestCom
Global Pte Ltd, has decided to identify Indian vendors
for its content generation and other requirements. At
the moment, most of the work is done out of China and
Malaysia.
The
company is a part of Success Resources, one of Asia''s
leading seminar organisers, offers online seminars.
The
company has opened a liaison office in Bangalore and will
soon start its e-learning programmes. The company will
offer two annual packages basic for Rs6,700 and
special Rs12,800. The basic package consists of programmes
for family members, personal development channel, kids
and youth, entertainment and language improvement. The
special package, in addition to the offerings under basic
package also offers services like live seminars, video
conferencing, resource library, corporate training and
others.
According
to SkyQuestCom''s CEO, Dr. Richard Tan, the company will
be spending around $2 million in promoting the offerings.
The company will target corporates and individuals. "SkyQuestCom
has around 1 lakh subscribers of which the ratio of corporates
and individuals is 60:40," claims Dr.Tan.
Asked
about the customisation of the content to India, he said
that 85 per cent of the content is universally applicable
and only 15 per cent needs customisation and which will
be done.
According
to Yang Po, managing director, the company would launch
Indian language channel during the second half of the
year.
