Wipro gets PHDCCI''s Ethics in Business Award

Mumbai: Wipro has been awarded the “Ethics is Good Business” award for the Year 2002. The award, instituted by the Punjab, Haryana and Delhi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), recognises Wipro’s ethics and value-based business performance.

The award was presented on Friday at a function in New Delhi by deputy chairman of the Planning Commission K C Pant. Suresh Vaswani, president, Wipro Infotech, received the award on behalf of Wipro.

Wipro has compiled an "Integrity Manual" that defines the way Wiproites should deal with their customers. Wipro has also introduced a helpline known as “Wipro SOS”. This helpline comprises senior members of the company, like chairman Azim Premji, who are available for guidance on any moral, legal or ethical issues that a Wiproite may face.

Wipro Limited provides IT solutions and services, including systems integration, information systems outsourcing, package implementation, software application development and maintenance, and research and development services to corporations globally.
