HomeNetwork selects Wipro’s Home Gateway

Mumbai: Wipro Technologies, the global IT services division of Wipro Ltd (www.wipro.com), has announced that HomeNetwork System, Korea, has selected CommEngine Software from Wipro's portfolio of Home Gateway Intellectual Properties for their Home Server and Client products.

Wipro's solution will drive these products to provide end-consumers benefits such as broadband Internet sharing, security/firewall, VPN connectivity, security surveillance, video-over-IP and home automation through a user-friendly control interface. Usage of advanced VPN functionality allows home users to securely access their Home network equipment and telecommuters to securely access their corporate LANs from remote locations over the Internet.

Home Server, Home Pad and Web Pad of HomeNetwork System, the products that will integrate Wipro's CommEngine software, are cost-effective devices designed with the end-user in mind, and deliver a suite of highly integrated applications and value-added services for the home and small office.

HomeNetwork System will be offering the Home server with Web Pad to the construction companies, which would commission them in new apartment and office buildings. This will enable the end-user to readily use the SOHO services like other basic utility services.
