MY TVS brand launched

The company has been expanding its car care services basket and found it prudent to have a single brand. From now MY TVS will represent 24x7 emergency services, multi-brand car services (offered under the TVS Xpress brand) and pre-owned car sales (TVS Value Cars).

According to R Srivatchan, vice president (customer centric business), the company''s new offering is a membership-based scheme.

The company has three kinds of membership schemes: silver, gold and platinum. The silver cardholders are eligible for emergency assistance only within Chennai. Gold and platinum club members are eligible for assistance for a geographical area spanning entire Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Karaikal region.

The company has 103 authorised service providers — one every 50 kms in Tamil Nadu. "We will initially target the corporate sector for this offering," adds R Dinesh, executive director. The company hopes to rope in 40,000 members during this fiscal.

About the performance of other two divisions — car service and pre-owned car sales — Srivatchan says: "Last fiscal we serviced 30,657 cars and the revenue earned is Rs 2.6 crore by the service providers and franchisees. In the pre-owned car segment, we sell around 150 cars per month and the target for this year is 5,000 cars."

TVS Sons plans to expand its multi-brand car service franchisee network to 75 this year. Currently the company has 42 franchisees in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka and services around 3,000 cars per month.
