NCR bags United Bank of India order to set up 50 ATMs units

Mumbai: NCR India (www.ncr.com), a leading global technology company and the market leader in the ATM industry, has bagged the order from United Bank of India (UBI), a leading public sector bank, to set up 50 units of P75s ATMs.

Under the deal, NCR will set up 50 units of P75s in a period of six months, which will be upgradable to the deposit functionality. The order was placed exclusively with NCR.

Says NCR India managing director Deepak Chandnani: "This order from UBI is very important to us. We are pleased to be working with UBI on this order which will further strengthen our relationship. We are committed to provide our customers world-class and cost-effective solutions in the self-service space."

UBI said in a statement: "UBI is in the process of aggressively implementing IT programmes to provide technology-based services. Expansion of the ATM network is one of such items. The world is gradually moving from cash-based transactions to card-based ones. UBI is actively participating in such a change."
