M&M launches CDRe-powered Tourister bus

Besides incorporating new features of stylish looks, low maintenance and high fuel economy, the new Tourister offers passengers the luxury of a car at the cost of a bus, says M&M.

"The new Tourister is a paradigm shift in the way commercial vehicles are made. It banishes the image of Indian buses as noisy and harsh 'people movers'  says Pawan Goenka, president, automotive sector, M&M. "It is a luxurious vehicle with the body of a bus and the soul of a car. This latest commercial vehicle from the M&M stable has 33 key features that set it apart from offerings by other makers in its class. We will be setting a new benchmark in terms of ride quality and comfort, fuel economy and running cost, safety features, styling and ergonomics with this product."

Arun Pande, managing director, Mahindra International, said, "Mahindra International is proud to present the Tourister 25 CRDe, which harnesses M&M's technology leadership and innovation to give customers a vehicle that promises the utility value of a bus with the comforts of a car. With this launch M&M has the distinction of being the only manufacturer in India to offer CRDe technology in this segment."

M&M''s latest offering is also very eco-friendly. The Tourister's CRDe engine lowers particulate matter in the emission by better combustion. The engine is also suitable for upgrades in emission standards.

Besides the CDRe quality advantage, the Tourister also packs superior passenger comfort and luxurious ride as compared with other vehicles in its class, says Pande.

"The new Tourister will set a benchmark in its category and boost business. It is a world class vehicle that harnesses technology innovation and bears the unmistakable M&M stamp of customer delight in terms of safety, economy, trustworthiness, comfort, elegance and power," Pande added.
