Mudra Group launches brand strategy and design consultancy Water

The Mudra Group has launched a brand strategy and design consultancy, christened Water.

Unveiled last week, Water will operate in the domain of high-end consulting, offering services in the entire branding value chain including brand strategy, identity design and experience design.

Madhukar Kamath, managing director and CEO of the Mudra Group said that brands being valuable assets to companies, their design plays a fundamental role in the creation of enduring brands. He said that Water will enable Mudra's clients to leverage the immense power of good design to build competitive advantages.

Team Water will be led by Ashish Mishra, and the company will be formally launched in Mumbai, today.

Kamath said that going by the fee that accounts for the branding spectrum pan-India, it is currently in excess of Rs100 crore. With Water, Mudra is looking forward to securing a significant share of the cultural branding industry, leveraging its expertise for clients from varied sectors including banking, packaged foods, finance, entertainment media, and real estate.

Water's business head and chief strategist, Ashish Mishra says that in the present era of brand makeovers, a successful brand creation or turnaround entails much more than just a wardrobe upgrade.

Water's belief, according to Mishra, is that brands that operate at a cultural level achieve iconic status. Therefore, crafting a brand's identity warrants an understanding of the historic cultural imprint, and cultural tensions borne out of social change.
