LG Electronics extends help to the victims news

Mumbai: LGEIL today announced Rs.3.5 million towards PM's relief fund for the affected states in Tsunami battered regions. All the employees of LGEIL would also contribute their two days salary. Also it announced setting of medical camps in association with Apollo hospitals in the affected areas.

Announcing the relief operations, K R Kim, president, LGEIL said," The scale of operations caused by Sunday's monster has left the affected regions in state of shock. As a responsible corporate, it is our responsibility to work for the rehabilitation of the affected people."

Adds Dr Yasho Verma, VP HR & MS, LGEIL, "Besides contributing to the PM's relief fund, LG has initiated a 'Healing Touch Campaign' whereby volunteers from LG will visit the neighboring societies and markets to mobilise funds and resources for the disaster-hit people across the nation."
