ORG Marg declares LG leader in several product categories

Mumbai: The pendulum of success has, as always, swung once again in favour of LG Electronics and it has emerged as the undoubted leader across various product categories, according to recent ORG Marg figures, hence reiterating its position as the leading consumer durable and electronics brand in India.

Says LG Electronics marketing head Anil Arora: "LG's brand leadership position is attributable to our holistic approach towards rendering quality products, appropriate communications and innovative marketing initiatives and a dynamic sales team. Consistent efforts are made to make the brand synonymous with world-class products and, hence, it's not surprising that LG has emerged as the leader in numerous categories, including being No1 in terms of market share in flat TVs, washing machine and microwaves frost-Free refrigerators."

LG Electronics clocked a record sales figure of over 3,00,000 units of CTVs in October 2003 alone with a growth of over 40 per cent the previous year. This is a significant achievement for any LG subsidiary worldwide or any consumer durable brand in India for a single month.

According to ORG Marg October 2003 figures, LG had a market share of 20.8 per cent in the overall TV segment, stabilising itself at the No 1 position in the category for a considerable number of months.
