Honda Siel Cars India on upward sales graph

For year 2003-2004 the company sold a total of 21,703 units of its models as against 13,300 units sold during 2002-03. The company says its latest model the new Honda has received a superb response in the market.

All the three models launched by the company during the previous financial year generated encouraging response from the customers, with the company establishing its leadership in the luxury segment and increasing its market share in the premium segment.

Honda Siel sold 2,111 units of the Honda Accord and 1,200 units of CR-V during the year. The company also recorded sale of a total of 18,392 units of its City model, a growth of 53 percent over last year.

The company says that the new City launched in November last year has achieved nationwide success, selling 12,107 units in just five months of its launch. The Honda Accord also achieved a stunning growth of 76 percent over the previous year.

Mr. Neeraj Garg, head of marketing, Honda Siel Cars India said, "All the three models launched in 2003-04 exhibited brilliant performance in their respective segments. The launch of the new City has helped us in expanding our reach in smaller towns after consolidating our leadership in metros. This reflects the company''s growth strategy. Going forward we hope to strengthen the company''s commitment towards its esteemed customers."

The company adds that in 2003-04 Honda Siel's new launches achieved the most prestigious automobile awards in the country as for instance the BS Motoring awards, AutoCar India-CNBC awards and ICICI-Overdrive awards.
