Nerolac awarded Golden Peacock environment award

Mumbai: The Jainpur plant of Goodlass Nerolac Paints (GNPL), the second largest paint company in the country was presented the 'Golden Peacock environment management award' at the '7th world congress on environment management' held at Palampur (Himachal Pradesh).

The awards was presented by the former Swedish prime minister, D Ola Ullsten, to Pravin D. Chaudhari, director-supply chain, GNPL.

Also present on the occasion were Dr S Z Qasim, former member of the Planning Commission, Justice Venkatchaliah, former Chief Justice of India, Shanta Kumar, former CM of HP, Dr Madhav Mehra, president, World Environment Foundation, the UK and Pradip Chaturvedi, advisor FAO & VC, WEF.

The Golden Peacock Environment Management Award (GPEMA) is designed to encourage and recognise effective implementation of environment management system, and continual improvement. The award is the coveted and prestigious recognition that emphasizes on maintaining ecological balance by minimizing adverse environmental impact, while carrying out industrial and business activities and aim towards sustainable growth.
