Audi launches A4 sedan

Mumbai: Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, launched its new Audi A4 sedan in the country today. The new Audi A4 is based on an entirely new technical concept, which offers considerable advantages over its predecessor and combines powerfully dynamic design with outstanding handling characteristics. The sporty and stylish new model is now available in the exclusive Audi dealerships. The prices for the new Audi A4 start at Rs2,900,000 (ex-showroom Mumbai without sales tax, transportation, etc.). As we target sales of 1,000 cars in India by the end of this year, the new Audi A4 will be a crucial product to help us achieve this goal."

The new Audi A4 is being launched in India first with a choice of two powerful engines: the 2.0 TDI multitronic with a power-output range of 105 kW (143 bhp) and the 3.2 FSI tiptronic quattro with 195 kW (265 bhp). Both of them use the direct fuel injection principle: FSI technology for the petrol engine and the common-rail system for the TDI unit.

At an overall length of 4.70 metres, the new A4 is a large saloon and boasts of a substantial, powerful road presence. Its 480-litre boot and the legroom for rear passengers are larger than of any of its direct competitors'.

Inside the new A4, the ambience is spacious and full of light, as would be expected in a much larger model. It embodies the traditional Audi strengths: a distinguished appearance, no-compromise high-quality workmanship with close attention to detail and logical, intuitive controls.

The new Audi A4 comes with high standard equipment to India, including features previously known only from upper segments: Audi brings the Multi Media Interface (MMI) as available option to the Audi A4, additionally the optical parking system with rearview camera and the Bang & Olufsen sound system.
