Following a multi-agency pitch, GVK-led Mumbai International Airport has announced the appointment of TBWA\India as its agency of record (AoR) for Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA).

CSIA is one of India's busiest airports, with recorded passenger traffic of 28.1 million in 2010. GVK is currently implementing a master plan for CSIA that involves building a new world class integrated terminal building, referred to as T2, which will be equipped to handle traffic of 40 million passengers per annum.

Manish Kalghatgi, head of corporate communications at GVK, said, ''TBWA presented an impressive concept supported by strong ideas, which we feel would help us meet our objectives.''

''To be entrusted with the task to help create a vibrant and enduring CSIA brand is a matter of huge pride and responsibility. This win has been possible, thanks to the ideas, energy, and passion of the team at TBWA Mumbai,'' said Shiv Sethuraman, chief executive officer, TBWA India.

TBWA\India's clients include Loop Mobile, Hygrevar, and Star Health & Allied Insurance among others.
