Spikes Asia introduces the best in advertising technical innovation within Asia

Spikes Asia will be celebrating the best in advertising technical innovation within Asia in September. Spikes Asia is the first Asian Advertising Festival to celebrate and inspire Asian creativity in advertising to be held in Suntec City, Singapore, 16-18 September 2009.
The newly launched three-day Spikes Asia Festival, which will combine the already established top creative awards show in Asia with the new networking and learning platform for the advertising and communications industry, is currently open for entries.
Work can be entered in the categories of TV / Cinema, Outdoor, Print, Radio, Digital, Direct & Sales Promotion, Integrated, Media, Craft and for the first time also Design. To be eligible, the work must have run in Asia from 1 January 2008 to 1 August 2009.
The deadline for entries is 24 July 2009.
Six juries made up of 42 leading creatives, media, design and craft specialists from 17 different countries – both regional and international - will meet in Singapore to vote, discuss and award the very best work in Asia.
All entries can be viewed during the 3-day Festival which will take place at Suntec City. The winners will be revealed during the awards ceremony on 18 September.
The Awards, judged by leading international and regional creatives, will honour the best creative work in the categories of TV / Cinema, Print, Outdoor, Radio, Digital, Integrated, Direct, Sales Promotion, Media, Print Craft, TV/Cinema Craft and Design.
Headed by Piyush Pandey, executive chairman and national creative director of Ogilvy & Mather India & South Asia, the Craft jury features a host of local and international experts who can best judge the entered work.
In two respective categories: 'TV / Cinema Craft' and 'Print Craft,' the awards event will recognize excellence in craft technique in advertising over and above the creative idea.

TV/Cinema Craft:
- Best use of animation/computer graphics/special effects
- Best use of art direction
- Best use of cinematography
- Best use of music
Print Craft:
- Best use of art direction
- Best use of copywriting
- Best use of illustration
- Best use of photography
