Mazda to showcase the new Mazda6 and Mazda Taiki Concept at the 2008 Beijing International Motor Show

Japanese car maker, Mazda Motor Corporation will showcase the European specification of the all-new Mazda6 and Mazda Taiki, the fourth concept car in the Nagare design series, at the 2008 Beijing International Motor Show from 20 to 28 April.

The Mazda6, also known as the Mazda Atenza in Japan  is a lightweight car powered by engine choices of a new 2.5 liter 4-cylinder and a 3.7 liter V6 sourced from the CX-9.It is available in two models - the Mazda6 sports sedan and the Mazda6-5-door.

The Mazda Taiki, two-seater concept car unveiled at the Tokyo Motor show in 2007, is powered by a next generation RENESIS rotary engine. The Taiki continues the Nagare design theme following on the footsteps of the Nagare, Ryuga, and Hakaze concepts.

The other exhibits from the Mazda stable will include the new Mazda5 Hydrogen RE Hybrid, equipped with Mazda's hydrogen rotary engine, along with other future environmental and safety technologies to promote Sustainable Zoom-Zoom,

The Sustainable Zoom-Zoom plan is Mazda's long-term vision for technology development, which aims to promote environmental protection and maintaining driving pleasure, while designing cars.

Mazda will also premiere the Mazda RX-8 beforeits introduction to the Chinese market. The Mazda MX-5  Power Retractable Hard Top will be shown as a reference model.
