The Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE) will hold an International Conference on Autonomous Unmanned Vehicles (ICAUV 2009), a two-day residential conference in Bengaluru on 3-4 April 2009, to mark its Golden Jubilee. The conference is organised in collaboration with UVS International, an international non-profit organisation that organises such seminars all over the world on a large scale.
The conference will be a platform to share and deliberate on the operational experiences gained and the lessons learnt by all the major powers currently deploying unmanned systems (UNS).
It will also discuss ways and means of increasing awareness of the potential of UNS and its applications, both military and non-military, to the various user strata. It will also look into the strategic alliances India needs to enter into with non-Indian entities active in the field, to acquire the technology necessary to make India a major UNS player.
It will review the ongoing international activities related to UNS certification and air traffic management, and the necessity for India to get involved in these activities. It will also expose the fledgling Indian UNS industrial base to the role it could play in the rapidly growing international market for UNS systems.
The conference will include plenary sessions on UV certification and international trends in UNS activities. There will also be technical sessions on UV technologies, UV operational experiences, standards and airworthiness, UV program updates, new products and emerging technologies, as well as ongoing R&D in the field. In addition, there will be an exhibition of products/technology related to the UV field.
The conference is open to scientists, engineers, students and teachers in scientific institutions, entrepreneurs, airport personnel, etc.
