Karvy CMD is FICCI (AP) chief
Hyderabad: C. Parthasarathy, Chairman and Managing Director of Karvy Consultants Ltd, has been elected as Chairman of FICCI's (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry) Andhra Pradesh Council.

Sudhir Sanghi, Managing Director of Sanghi Spinners India Limited, will be the Vice-Chairman, according to a FICCI press release.

Nasscom: Jerry Rao is new Chairman
New Delhi: The MphasiS BFL Chairman and Chief executive Officer (CEO), Jerry Rao, has been appointed as the Chairman of the National Association of Software and Service Companies (Nasscom) for 2004-05.

S Ramadorai, Chief Executive Officer of TCS, has been appointed as the Vice-Chairman for the apex body of information technology companies in the country. Speaking on his appointment Rao said that Nasscom will attempt to put in place a long term vision that would look beyond revenue targets to focus on multiple parameters of the industry's value proposition with measurable indices to define them.

Patni brings MIT professor on board
Mumbai: Patni Computer Systems Ltd has inducted Michael. A. Cusumano, professor and business strategist, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), as an independent director on its board. Prior to its public offering, Patni had inducted five professionals as independent directors last year. According to an official release, the appointment is in line with the company's efforts to bring global expertise at the board level to help shape business strategy, growth and vision.
