Nikon to double India growth in 2009

Nikon India, the fully owned subsidiary of Nikon Corporation, today said that it has revamped its organisational structure as part of  an aggressive growth strategy to doouble its growth by 2009.

It has made the following new key appointments who will report to Nikon India managing director Hidehiko Tanaka:

Hiroshi Takashina has joined as the division general manager (imaging division). Hiroshi Takashina joined Nikon, Tokyo in April 2007 in the company's marketing department. An auto industry professional with 24 years in sales and marketing handled the Middle East, Africa and Europe markets, prior to joining Nikon.

Sajjan Kumar as general manager, sales and marketing:  A BTech  in electronics and communications, Kumar has 14 years of experience in sales, marketing, product development, channel development operations especially in reorganised products and product  sales teams to non-traditional sales and product team matrix, resulting in a healthier non metro to metro business mix

Jitender Chugh as national sales manager. With 12 years of experience  with major consumer brands, Chugh, a BTech and MBA and a certification in advance computer programming and is rated among the top influencers in photography

Khushraho Kapadia, senior marketing manager. Kapadia brings over 10 years in the imaging industry and has been instrumental in establishing many brands and won accolades in the Marcom arena. He successfully launched a leading photography magazine and further positioned it as the top selling photography magazine in the country.
