Sunil Mittal awarded JRD Tata corporate leadership award

Sunil MittalSunil Bharti Mittal, chairman and Group CEO, Bharti Enterprises, has been awarded the JRD Tata corporate leadership award, for his outstanding contribution to Indian industry. The award also recognizes Mittal as a distinguished corporate leader who has consistently maintained exceptional standards in professional management.

Among the previous recipients of the this award are late Aditya V Birla, Dr. J J Irani, N R Naryana Murthy, Rahul Bajaj, K V Kamath, Azim Premji, Dr. R A Mashelkar and Deepak Parekh.
 
"I am delighted to receive this award named after one of the historic leaders of Indian industry," said Mittal, while accepting the award. "This award is a testimony to the key transformational projects that we have undertaken, which have served the nation in a meaningful manner. I am sure this Award would inspire many of today's budding entrepreneurs to pursue their business vision with single-minded focus and persistence to make an impact on the society and people."
 
Instituted by Tata Chemicals Golden Jubilee Foundation and administered by AIMA, the JRD Tata Corporate Leadership Award is one of the most prestigious awards in the country. This award honours distinguished and eminent personalities, who have made outstanding contribution in the corporate world and professional management.
