Thirteen scientists selected for Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar award

Chennai: Thirteen young scientists have been selected for the prestigious Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar (SSB) Prize for the year 2006. The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) awards the prizes — Rs2 lakh cash and a citation — annually to the young scientists for their outstanding scientific contributions in the country.

The winners for the year 2006 are:

Dr. Pulak Sengupta, Jadavpur University, Kolkata
