Mumbai: Azim Premji, chairman of IT major Wipro, is among the top 10 in the Forbes''s list of the world''s richest tech titans. Premji who comes sixth in the list with a net worth of $13.3 billion, is ahead of Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page, eBay founder Pierre Omidyar and SAP founder Hasso Plattner.

Microsoft founder Bill Gates, with a net worth of $50 billion, is the world''s richest man for the 12th year in a row.

Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen takes second position with net worth of $22 billion. Dell founder Michael Dell is at third position with a net worth of $17.1 billion; Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison at fourth rank with $16 billion and Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer at fifth position with net worth of $13.6 billion.

The world''s ten richest tech billionaires collectively have a net worth of $174.2 billion, which is more than the gross domestic product of Israel, Forbes said in the report.

While Bill Gates has announced plans to get out of active work at Microsoft and others like Plattner, Paul Allen and Pierre Omidyar are not even involved in the companies they founded, Premji is among the select few tech titans on the list who remain actively involved in the day-to-day operations of their companies, Forbes noted.
