appoints Rakesh Rawal
Mumbai: Rakesh Rawal has been appointed the National
Head Wealth Management at AnandRathi. He will be
based in Mumbai.
Rawal
was joins AnandRathi from Deutsche Bank working as head
of Private Wealth Management at Bangalore.

level exodus at Aircel
Chennai: Jagdish Kini, group chairman and chief executive
officer and Ganapathy Subramanian, chief financial officer
at the Aircel Group have both resigned.
Company
officials said Aircel had not anticipated their resignations
and it had been 'caught unawares.'
Kini
said his resignation was due to personal reasons and his
inability to leave Bangalore
from where he was heading the Aircel Group.
The
company is planning to move its headquarters to either
New Delhi or Chennai.
Kini
hopes to continue his association with the telecom industry
by joining Enterprise 5c, a consulting firm that he started
a while ago that is managed by his wife. As part of this
firm, in the past, he has delivered strategy-consulting
services to many telecom companies.
Malaysia's
Maxis Communications Berhad owns 74 per cent stake in
the Aircel Group and has earmarked investments of Rs 2,000
crore for 2007-08, most of which is likely to be used
to expand its mobile network across India. At present,
Aircel offers services in 9 telecom circles.

Dasgupta
appointed MD of LIC
Mumbai: A.K. Dasgupta has been appointed as managing
director of the Life Insurance Corporation of India. He
would be the third MD in LIC, along with D.K. Mehrotra
and Thomas Mathew.
Dasgupta
has held various posts in the Corporation including chief
executive, LIC Housing Finance; Zonal Manager, LIC, Central
Zone, Bhopal; and deputy general manager, LIC (International)
Bahrain.
Prior
to taking over as MD, he was heading the international
operations and corporate communications department as
Executive Director.
