Mark Heraghty, Bhaskar Thyagarajan join FLAG
New Delhi: Reliance Communications' FLAG Telecom has appointed Mark Heraghty as senior vice president, Europe, Middle East and Africa. Along with Heraghty, Bhaskar Thyagarajan comes in as vice president, marketing, to lead the product management and development, partners and alliance programme, and customer solutions functions of the company.

Mark Heraghty comes in with 14 years of experience in the international telecom industry. Prior to joining FLAG, he was the CEO of Cable & Wire (C&W) Europe. Prior to that, he held the position of MD of C&W's service provider business. Heraghty holds an MBA from University of Warwick, England, and a degree in mechanical engineering from Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland.

Bhaskar Thyagarajan, prior to joining FLAG, had an 18-year stint with Sprint, and was most recently the executive director, global data product sales for Sprint's Asia, India, Europe and Middle East & Africa. He has over 17 years of experience in sales, partnership management, business development, global network planning and design in the global telecom market. Thyagarajan holds an MBA from the University of Missouri, USA, a bachelor of electrical engineering from Kolkata University, and a master's diploma in industrial management from IIT-Kharagpur.
