Raju Vegesna appointed CEO, MD Sify

Chennai: Sify has named Raju Vegesna as chief executive officer and managing director, of the company in the wake of the resignation of R. Ramaraj.
Sify said Ramaraj resigned to pursue other interests and opportunities but has agreed to be available as a consultant for the company.

Shares of the company fell about 9 percent to $8.44 in morning trade on the Nasdaq.

Mihir Vora is equities head at HSBC
Mumbai: Mihir Vora has been appointed as the head of fund management - Equities, HSBC Asset Management (India). In this role, Vora will oversee the day-to-day operations and fund management of the equity funds from the HSBC stable in India.

Vora was earlier at ABN AMRO Asset Management (India) Ltd, where he was the Head of Equities.

Phanasgaonkar appointed president of Reliance finance business
Mumbai: Reliance Capital has appointed Sandeep Phanasgaonkar as president and chief technology officer.

Phanasgaonkar will be responsible for information technology and systems for all financial businesses under Reliance Capital, including mutual funds, life and general insurance, stock broking and consumer finance said the company.

Phanasgaonkar earlier with Genpact (formerly GE Capital International Services) as its global chief information officer, began his career with the State Bank of India and worked with Tata Infotech, iFLEX Solutions and Deutsche Bank.
